So, contracts, CRM and machines….After handling a complete re-brand at Central Bedfordshire College, launched a building, created two new brands (Serenity@…. & Hospitality Central) and created new events to support student recruitment
time was up so a move to Local World and the other side of media was a chance to build my understanding of CRM – firstly with Microsoft Dynamics and then with LACRM.
Contracts, CRM and Machines…
Also meant a chance to relaunch Cambridge News, develop podcasts and e-shots supporting Cambridge Business and the Cambridge Magazine. With the advent of the Tour de France coming to Cambridge we launched “The Chain Letter” – an e-shot to cycling businesses and enthusiasts across Cambridge – not huge circulation to start with but relevant, cheap and very well-targeted – as ever great team JT, Darren & Hannah among many.
Contracts, CRM and machines….Dynamics
I can’t pretend that the adoption of Dynamics was a success, it wasn’t. We tried three times but there are a couple of learning points; imposing a central system which at the time wasn’t very intuitive was always going to be difficult. Put this together with a culture that wasn’t used to sharing information and it was always going to be difficult. But the good news was a 17% rise in on sale volumes following the re-launch – I can’t take credit, Paul the Editor made it happen.
Also the chance to develop e-zines. With the news that The Tour de France would visit Cambridge came the opportunity of “The Chain Letter“. A e-zine developed for the cycling community delivered straight into their inboxes with news, tests and features. Then we did four more.
